A new standard in documentary storytelling

ABOUT US

STANDARD DEVIATION IS AN AWARD-WINNING FILM AND MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION COMPANY BASED IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. WE MAKE PROJECTS TO CONNECT PEOPLE—AND CONNECT IDEAS—THROUGH CINEMATIC STORYTELLING.

SINCE 2018, WE HAVE PRODUCED SHORTFORM DOCUMENTARY AND MULTIMEDIA CONTENT THAT HAS AIRED ON PBS, SCREENED AT FESTIVALS GLOBALLY, AND SERVED AS EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES IN CLASSROOMS AND FOR NONPROFITS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.

IN OUR WORK WE AIM TO CAPTURE THE LIVED REALITIES OF INDIVIDUALS navigating THE CHAOTIC and often contentious background noise of modern society. We seek the human stories and poetic truths that transcend cold cynicism or comfortable simplifications.
